What a result looks like

An illustrative example — your communities are ranked live from the evidence your product matches.

“A tool that pulls scattered client video-revision notes into one prioritized list”

r/editors · score 58 · medium confidence11 distinct people · 14 discussions
  • They say:“clients send revisions in three different places and I always miss one”
  • How to engage:answer workflow questions genuinely; don't pitch on first contact
  • Conversation: a thread asking how people track feedback — a natural place to be helpful

How the finder works

  1. 1.We interpret your product into the problem it solves and who has it.
  2. 2.We search real public discussions and rank the communities where those people gather.
  3. 3.We penalise communities that are mostly venting, so you show up where help is welcome — and pull out how customers describe the problem, in their words.
  4. 4.You get ranked communities, real phrases, search queries, and specific threads to join — framed as conversations, never spam.

Frequently asked questions

How does Find My Customers work?

You describe your product or the problem it solves. We search a corpus of real public community discussions for people describing that problem, then rank the communities where they gather, pull out how they phrase the pain in their own words, and surface specific threads worth joining. Every community, quote, count and link is verified against stored evidence before you see it.

What is the promotional-risk penalty?

A community full of complaints isn't always a good place to show up with a product. We look at whether people there are actually seeking solutions (asking for tools, comparing options, describing workarounds) versus just venting. Communities that are mostly venting are penalised in the ranking — so the tool steers you toward places that will genuinely welcome help, not get you removed for self-promotion.

Is this a way to spam people?

No — and the tool is built to prevent that. We treat the people behind the evidence as conversation opportunities, never leads to harvest. There's no mass-DM or automation advice, only suggestions to participate genuinely and follow each community's rules. Showing up helpfully is the whole point.

Where does the evidence come from?

From public discussions in real communities (primarily Reddit) that Problem Signal continuously analyses. Community cards, customer phrases, and conversation opportunities all link back to their source so you can verify them yourself. We never invent a community — only real subreddits behind real evidence appear.

What do I see for free, and what does Pro add?

Free (no sign-up) shows your top community with its score, verified counts, how customers describe the problem, and search queries to find more. Signing up (free) saves your results and raises your limits. Pro unlocks all ranked communities, each community's score breakdown, the specific conversation threads to join, and a simple acquisition plan.

What if you can't find enough evidence?

We tell you honestly rather than inventing communities, and we give you concrete ways to sharpen the description. Little matching discussion doesn't mean your customers aren't out there — they may describe the problem differently or gather in communities we haven't analysed yet.
